One of the most common questions we get from coaches and players is: "How do I compare to others?" Until now, performance data lived in silos — each coach seeing only their own players, with no way to benchmark against the wider world. The Global Leaderboard changes that.
The leaderboard aggregates anonymised performance data from players across the entire PitchStats network and ranks them by real match statistics. Not subjective ratings. Not scouting opinions. Actual data from actual matches.
How it works
How the Rankings Are Calculated
Every player on the PitchStats network builds up a career score based on their match data. For each match, a coach tracks skills in real time — passing, tackling, shooting, heading, dribbling and more. Every action gets rated: Top (successful), Ok (partial) or Miss (unsuccessful).
The career score is the percentage of Top-rated actions across all tracked skills, across all matches. Players with more matches and more consistent data rise to the top. The leaderboard ranks by this overall career score, but also shows per-skill rankings — so you can find the best passers, the best tacklers, or the top goal-scorers separately.

Privacy first
Privacy Controls — You Choose
Players and coaches are in full control of their visibility on the leaderboard. There are two settings:
Show on Global Leaderboard
Your player appears with their first name initial + last name (e.g. 'E. Andersen'). Stats visible to everyone.
Show Full Name
Optional second toggle — show your player's full name on the leaderboard for maximum visibility.
Opt Out Completely
Turn off leaderboard visibility entirely. Your player's data stays private — never shared, never ranked.
