Privacy Policy

PitchStats ("we", "us", or "our") is a football scouting and analytics platform operated by PitchStats.pro. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using PitchStats, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is PitchStats.pro. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at mail@pitchstats.pro.

We collect the following categories of data, only to the extent necessary to operate the app:

• Account information: Your name and email address when you register or sign in. This enables account creation, login, and communication regarding your account status, trial expiry, and subscription management.
• Profile photo (account): An optional photo you upload for your own account profile, stored securely in the cloud. Used only to display your profile within the app.
• Player profile photos: Optional photos you upload to represent individual players in your squad. These are stored in the cloud and displayed within the app only to you and are used to help identify players in match and performance reports.
• Match & performance data: Player statistics, match results, technical ratings, match notes, and scouting evaluations you manually enter into the app. This includes skill actions (passing, tackling, shooting, etc.), performance ratings (technical, tactical, physical, mental), and match outcomes. Used for performance tracking, trend analysis, report generation, and AI-powered player insights.
• Scouting evaluation data: Structured 6-scale ratings across technical, tactical, physical, and mental attributes, plus strengths, weaknesses, and recruitment recommendations. Used for talent assessment and comparative analysis.
• Season goals and targets: Player development goals and performance targets you set. Used to track progress and generate reports on player improvement.
• Health / body composition data: If you choose to manually enter InBody scan values, we store numerical body composition values (e.g. weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage, BMI, metabolic rate, etc.) to provide trend analysis and development tracking. This is treated as sensitive health data.
• Payment information: Processed entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials. Payment data is used solely for subscription and trial management.
• Usage and analytics data: App interactions, feature usage patterns, and session information to improve the platform experience, identify bugs, and develop new features. This data is not linked to your identity for advertising purposes.
• Support communications: Any emails, feedback, or support requests you submit are stored to assist with customer support and service improvement.

PitchStats may request the following device permissions. Each permission is used only for the purpose stated and is never accessed in the background:

• Camera — Used only when you explicitly tap a button to take a photo for a player profile picture or to photograph an InBody scan document. The camera is never accessed without your direct action.
• Photo library / storage — Used only when you explicitly choose to select a photo from your device gallery for a player profile, or select a PDF file for InBody scan import. Files are not scanned or accessed passively.
• Internet access — Required to sync your match data, authenticate your account, and load app features.

Permissions are requested at the time of use. You can deny permissions and still use most app features, though some functions (e.g. profile photos) will be unavailable without the relevant permission.

Specific uses include:

• Account management: Creating accounts, authenticating users, managing passwords, and handling account preferences.
• Data storage and synchronization: Storing and displaying your match data, player profiles, performance statistics, and scouting evaluations across all your devices.
• Performance analytics: Calculating skill percentages, performance ratings trends, growth analysis, career scores, and match-by-match breakdowns for individual players and teams.
• Report generation: Creating professional PDF reports for player profiles, match statistics, team rosters, and performance comparisons for coaches, scouts, and parents.
• AI-powered insights: Generating AI-driven player development recommendations, talent analysis, performance predictions, and training suggestions based on your data.
• Body composition tracking: Processing and storing InBody scan data to calculate trends, visualize physical development, and track health metrics over time.
• Subscription and trial management: Processing payments via Stripe, managing subscription status, tracking trial periods, and sending subscription-related communications.
• Communications: Sending transactional emails including account confirmations, trial expiry notifications, password resets, payment receipts, and important account updates.
• Platform improvement: Analyzing app performance, identifying bugs, understanding user behavior patterns, and developing new features based on usage data.
• Customer support: Responding to support requests, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical assistance.
• Legal compliance: Maintaining records as required by law, preventing fraud, and enforcing terms of service.

What we do NOT do: We do not use your personal data for targeted advertising, do not sell your data to any third party, do not share scouting evaluations or health data with other users unless you explicitly choose to, and do not use your match/player data to train or improve public AI models.

We do not sell your data. Data is shared with the following service providers solely to operate PitchStats:

• Stripe — Secure payment processing. Your payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe under their own privacy policy. We receive only confirmation of payment status.
• Base44 — The infrastructure platform powering our backend, including authentication, cloud database, and file storage. All data stored on Base44's servers is encrypted at rest and in transit.
• AI service providers — When AI features are used (player insights, InBody scan extraction), relevant anonymised or user-specific data is sent to AI model providers to generate results. This data is used solely for processing your request and is not used to train AI models.

All third-party providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

The following data may be transmitted from your device over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS):

• Name and email — for account creation and authentication.
• Photos — when you explicitly upload a profile photo for your account or for a player profile.
• Health / body composition data — numerical values you manually enter from InBody scans, stored to enable trend charts.
• Match and performance data — statistics and scouting notes you enter, stored in the cloud so they sync across devices.
• Payment details — transmitted directly to Stripe. We never receive your full card number.

No data is collected or transmitted without your knowledge or direct action.

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, here is a summary of our data practices:

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. You can request deletion of all your data at any time (see Section 11).

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including match records, player profiles, uploaded files, and body composition data — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, encrypted cloud storage for data at rest, and access controls to prevent unauthorised access. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data — use the "Delete Account" option in Account Settings, or email us at mail@pitchstats.pro.
• Export your data using the "Export Backup" feature in Account Settings.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent at any time.

To request account and data deletion: Go to Account Settings → Delete Account inside the app, visit our Data Deletion Request page, or email us at mail@pitchstats.pro. We will process your request within 30 days.

PitchStats is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If a coach, parent, or guardian uses the app to track a young player's performance data, the responsible adult must ensure appropriate consent has been obtained. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your home country, including countries where data protection laws may differ. When this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information in compliance with applicable law.

If you are in the European Economic Area, we process your data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — to improve the app and ensure security.
• Consent — for optional features such as body composition data and profile photos. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — where processing is required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
